1955 Buick Special

Here up for auction is my fantastic Buick Special. 264ci V8 with Dynaflow automatic transmision.

This car is in excellent mechanical condition. The engine and gearbox were rebuilt a couple of years ago, and drives superb. I have installed a pertronix electronic ignition unit and high output coil along with 8mm mallory leads. New fuel pump last year and fuel tank has been removed, sealed inside and repainted.

Brakes have all been rebuilt with new flexi hoses, shoes all round, front wheel cylinders and master cylinder.

A new front exhaust system was made last year also.

The chassis is in excellent condition. The suspension is all good with recent new bushes, rear links and a front king pin.

This car has been lovingly looked after and serviced in my ownership and also my friend who owned her before me. There is lots of paperwork also with this car of previous bills etc.

The car was resprayed approx 6 years ago and still looks great. The interior has been fully custom trimmed by Phil Silk in a gorgeous green and cream to contrast with the body and looks absolutely stunning. Chromework is OK but starting to fade in a few places, but does not detract from the overall appearance.

This car turns heads wherever it goes - I have driven this car everywhere in the past few years I have owned her - she has driven to France, Cornwall - all over the country. I would not hesitate to jump in the car and drive anywhere. She starts on the button and has never let me down.
